It is HOMECOMING week at Cheboygan Area High School!! On Friday, the annual homecoming pep assembly takes place at 2:00 in the high school gym. The parade takes place Friday also, but the details on that are still be worked out. (More info to follow.)  The Varsity Chiefs take on Benzie Central at 7:00 to try to secure a spot in the play-offs. After the game, "MEET THE CHIEFS" is happening inside the football field house. Bring your program for an autograph and bring your camera for a picture, as the coaches and players greet fans after the game. Treats will be served. Get involved!! If you haven\'t been to a game, this is a great opportunity to check out the "new" stadium and the field house.

The Chiefs and Blue Devils commence their annual meeting once again on Thursday Night as the Freshman and the undefeated JV Team travel northward for what is sure to be an exciting matchup. The Freshman kick off at 4pm and the JV at 6pm. Follow the boys up ther and cheer loud.

Friday Night will be electric at Western Avenue Field as both the Chiefs and the Blue Devils put their 4-2 records on the line. Cheboygan Fans, bring the noise and support your Chiefs.

A big-time double-header took place last night at the newly revamped Western Avenue Stadium with the Freshman Chiefs losing a tight one in a high scoring matchup with the Alpena Freshman team.

The JV squad brought there undefeated record onto the field as well as a pumped up Alpena JV squad. When the dust settled, it was a 26-26 tie.

Tonight the Varsity Squad travels to Alpena to take on a big and fast Alpena team. Make the trip and support your Chiefs as they are geared up to bounce back from last week and go 4-2 on the season. Click Here for driving directions to Alpena's field.

Put on your Orange and Black and make the trip to Curtis Field in Petoskey on Friday night and support your Varsity Cheboygan Chiefs (3-1) as they take on the Petoskey Northmen (2-2).

As always, the atmosphere will be electric as this long time rivalry is once again renewed between two tough Northern Michigan football programs and its sure to be a hard-nosed fight. Hope to see and hear you in the stands.

Beginning tonight, Thursday September 13 at 6pm you can catch the Freshman Chiefs at the new-look Western Avenue Stadium as they take on the Sault Ste. Marie Blue Devils in the first of their 2 meetings this season.

Tomorrow night will be a home double-header to remember as the undefeated JV Chiefs take on the Ludington JV Squad at 4pm, and the Varsity Chiefs look to go 3-1 against the Ludington Orioles at 7pm.

Following Friday's games bring your ticket stub down to the Boathouse and recieve 10% off your meal.

Tonight is Parent's Night for the varsity Chiefs!! All parents need to be at the northeast corner gate at 6:30 on Thursday for line-up. Wear your orange and black to support your Chief!!

Join us Monday, August 20th at 6pm at Western Avenue Field to celebrate the new gate and field renovations as the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and supporters will be in attendance to cut the ribbon.

Also, you'll get a chance to see your Fall Sports teams and Coaching Staffs as they will be introduced tonight. Be there!

CHEBOYGAN ALUMNI and CHEBOYGAN FOOTBALL FANS! We have about 200 jerseys from 1981 - 2010 that will be for sale this Saturday at Western Avenue Field during the intra-squad scrimmages. From 12 - 2 we will sell jerseys, sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, hotdogs, nachos, pop, water, and brownies. After the sale Saturday, remaining jersey numbers will be listed on the web page.

Reminder!! The Cheboygan Chiefs Mini-Camp and Equipment Check-Out takes place this week. Grades 11-12 equipment check out is Tuesday at 2:00 and camp is Tuesday - Wednesday from 6 - 9 p.m. at Western Avenue Practice Field. Grade 10 equipment check-out is Thursday at 2:00 and camp is Thursday - Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. at Western Avenue Practice Field. Grade 9 equipment check-out is Friday at 2:00 and camp is Thursday - Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. at Western Avenue Field. Guaranteed t-shirt sizes if you pre-register!! TIME IS RUNNING OUT to leave your name forever in Cheboygan Football History. On Monday, the plaques will be ordered that recognize the donors who made the Western Avenue Gate Project a reality. CHAMPION donors are $2000+, VICTORY donors are $500 - $1999, CONTRIBUTORS are $50 - $499. All will be permanently recognized at the football stadium. CHANGE is happening with Cheboygan Football - BE A PART OF THE EXCITEMENT!!!

How has Cheboygan Football impacted you? As a Player? Cheerleader? Band Member? Parent? Sibling? Aunt/Uncle? Grandparent? Cousin? Teacher? Fan? Do you remember the glory days of the undefeated streak? The conference championships? The trip to the Dome? The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat? Do you remember games in the rain and snow as well as extreme heat?

We need you to DIG DEEP!! The DADS Club has made a $50,000 commitment to fund the Gate Project as part of the Western Avenue Field renovations. Thanks to the Cheboygan Area Schools sinking fund, Western Avenue Field is getting a much needed face lift beginning this spring (new bleachers, removal of old track, new sodded field, drainage, sidewalks to entrance). The DADS Club would like to add to the face lift by building a new ticket booth/entrance gate with an arch. It will be located on the corner of Western Avenue and Locust Street, and all fans will enter through one gate. This can't happen without generous donations from the Cheboygan Football Family. Every little bit helps.

The Cheboygan School Board has set a deadline of March 31. By this date we must confirm PLEDGES TO DONATE with payment due by June 1. Can you pledge your support to help with this project? Be recognized at Western Avenue Field and leave your mark on Cheboygan Football History.

Over $17,000 has already been pledged, but we have a ways to go in a short amount of time. It is time that our facility match the pride we have in Cheboygan Football.

Please do whatever you can to help the DADS Club reach its goal and honor its commitment to the Western Avenue Field Project!
